What makes us knowledgeable about this sector

I have been close to the HMO category since 2016, when I joined Inbiose as Chief Commercial Officer. Over the next four years we reframed the company from a single 2'-FL ingredient to a diversified glycan platform; the team grew from fifteen to roughly fifty; the licensing and co-development agreements I led with global ingredient and FMCG majors became a major source of partner funding and helped attract over €15 million in growth equity. In 2024 I returned to lead the company — the mandate was to preserve the IP, the team, and investor confidence through a period of strategic transition. It held.

The HMO research we publish draws on that direct operating experience, on the work that preceded it across DuPont Industrial Biosciences and S-Biomedic, and on a warm network across the named Western incumbents, the Asian rising tier, and the buyer-side formula brands. The cost stacks, capacity matrices, and forward calls in the editions come from primary- source triangulation against that network — not from desk research.
